DeltaMath test corrections serve as targeted remediation assignments. Individualized test corrections can be generated from either a DeltaMath test or another classroom-based assessment.
Types of Corrections
Test corrections unlinked to DeltaMath are derived from tests or other assessments not generated within DeltaMath. Students manually input their test scores, and teachers must choose DeltaMath skills that align with their classroom-based assessments. Subsequently, an individualized remediation assignment is generated for each student.
Linked Test Corrections PLUS | INTEGRAL
Linked test corrections are derived from tests created in DeltaMath. Student test scores and skills are automatically retrieved based on their test performance. Subsequently, an individualized remediation assignment is generated for each student.
Create Individualized Remediation
DeltaMath test corrections offer extra practice for skills linked to test questions that students answered incorrectly. To illustrate this concept fully, let's walk through an example of creating a linked test correction and four unique student scenarios. |
A teacher created a “Slope Test” with five questions, each associated with the following skills:
Question 1: Finding the Slope from Points Question 2: Standard to Slope Intercept Form (note: only the parallel slope subtype was selected)
|
|
Once students finished the test, the teacher could access detailed student performance per question. Subsequently, the teacher generated a “Slope Test Correction” linked to the original “Slope Test.”
|
Expand the four scenarios below to see how the test correction was uniquely generated for each student based on their performance in the original test.
Edgar's Individualized Test Correction
Edgar answered three test questions incorrectly:
Q1: Finding the Slope from Points |
|
When Edgar opens the test correction, he will find additional practice for all three skills he missed on the original test. |
Amelia's Individualized Test Correction
Amelia answered one test question incorrectly:
Q5: Slopes of Parallel/Perpendicular Lines
|
|
When Amelia opens the test correction, she will find additional practice assigned for the specific skill and subtype she missed. In this case, that's "Slope of Parallel/Perpendicular Lines," specifically restricted to the "Find parallel slope" subtype. |
Gina's Individualized Test Correction
Gina answered two test questions incorrectly, both associated with the same skill:
Q4: Graph Line from Slope/Y-intercept |
|
When Gina opens the test correction, she will find additional practice assigned for the one skill she missed, which is "Graph Line from Slope/Y-intercept.
|
Isaac's Individualized Test Correction
Isaac did not answer any questions incorrectly on the test, demonstrating mastery. | |
As a result, when Isaac opens the test correction, he will see a message indicating that there are no additional problems for him to solve. |
