Introduction to Tests

Unlike assignments, which allow students to work on completion or mastery of skills, DeltaMath tests grade students on accuracy. DeltaMath tests can be used as diagnostics, quizzes, exit tickets, unit tests, or even benchmarks.

There are a number of other key differences:

• Different setting options
• Assigning questions vs. skills
• Data views that allow you to adjust grades for partial credit

Test Security

• The time limit feature creates timed tests, which will restrict students from accessing the test after the time limit has ended.
• The passcode feature keeps students from other classrooms or different periods from entering or starting the test without permission.
• The restrict other assignments feature prevents students from accessing other DeltaMath assignments while they are taking a test.
• The printing to PDF feature allows students to take the test offline.
